DIY Body Oil

As the weather turns from warm to chilly, you'll probably notice your skin becoming a little dry. That's because when the air outside is cold and dry, the water in your skin evaporates more quickly, making it feel dry and look flaky — not cute! That's why it's important to keep skin healthy and hydrated.

Body oils are a perfect solution because they absorb easily and form a natural lipid barrier to lock moisture in and protect against dryness.

Want to make your own body oil? You'll only need as little as two main ingredients: An unscented "carrier" oil (which makes up most of the content of the body oil) and an essential oil to give it a pleasant aroma (you'll only need 7–10 drops per 1 oz. of oil, since essential oils are very concentrated).

A few carrier oils we recommend:

  • Almond Oil
  • Grape seed Oil
  • Jojoba Oil

A few essential oils we recommend:

  • Bergamot
  • Jasmine
  • Lavender
  • Neroli
  • Ylang Ylang

Or try your hand at a blend of essential oils!

If you just don't have time to make your own, We've got our own brews ready to give you glowing, hydrating skin to last you through winter! Try Jasmine if you love delicate floral scents. Or try Citrine if you like warm citrus scents.
