HERBIVORE X HUMAN RIGHTS

"As a company we feel very strongly about helping people and the environment. This is why we started Herbivore in the first place. We want all targeted minority groups to know that we see you, we hear you, and we will fight for you." - Julia and Alex

Uncertain times call for very certain actions.

Cultural diversity is of unparalleled importance to the holistic health and fundamental prosperity of our country. That importance is now under unrelenting attack and we refuse to stay silent. To help protect the rights of immigrants, minority groups, and all those seeking refuge inside our borders, 15% of this weekend’s sales will be donated to the ACLU. We will continue to both advocate and celebrate cultural diversity through our own company values while helping to fund the tireless efforts of the ACLU to ensure the protection of all individual's rights.

We have also joined forces with our friends in the eco-friendly and conservation focused Plant Family community to support the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in defense of their native land rights. A strong belief in community activism unites this family of small business brands. We are deeply saddened by the DAPL’s corporate driven and greed fueled flagrant disregard for the natural resources, quality of life, and cultural values of Standing Rock’s indigenous people. To aid in the protection of their water quality and sacred land rights, we will be donating another 15% of this weekend’s sales to the Standing Rock Medic + Healer Council. This group coordinates medical and healer supplies and staff support between a variety of groups such as The Standing Rock Tribal Council, Indian Health Services, Standing Rock Emergency Services and all camp outposts in support of pipeline resistance.

Plant Family is a close-knit network of small business owners, all committed to making and trading exclusively all-natural botanical based medicines and remedies, with a firm dedication to plant education and to increasing appreciation for the beauty and benefits of the natural world.

Herbivore stands by Standing Rock. Herbivore stands by all Human Rights.

Your decision to do this is wonderful and, I’m sure, a reflection of your compassionate souls. In response to previous comments, I often wonder why geography should dictate our kindness. I have been blessed to know so many who have come here seeking a better life and I am indebted to those who cared for this land before I arrived. What a beautiful act to stand up for them when we can. Thank you.

I totally agree with GRACE NENA! I will also take my hard earned money elsewhere.

Please educate yourself about keeping America safe. The mainstream media will NOT tell you the truth. I have friends in Sweden that are terrified to walk in their own neighborhoods because they took in so many refugees. People are being raped and killed daily. Germany, Paris, Canada and many more countries have the same crisis. We have so many homeless right here in America. Immigrants need help, but they need it where they live.
Here is the proof…

You need to get your facts straight! I was so excited to find a brand that seemed to have effective products AND safe ingredient. As the gay daughter of an immigrant, I certainly appreciate the benefits of cultural diversity in communities. However, the fact is there are people, supported by their governments, that will stop at nothing to attack every ideal America stands for. These are the same people that push gay people off of buildings, stone rape victims, and sanction honor killings. THESE are the people being targeted by the US government – NOT any other group. I will be taking my money elsewhere. In the meantime, I hope you all are able to wade through all of the misinformation, put your political partisanship aside, and learn the facts.

As a refugee who came here 34 years ago and currently a US Citizen, I was always proud of the values of this nation. Now those values are being crushed and we must stand together to rebuild the core values this nation was founded on. Not only do I love your brand but now I have even more respect for you and your vision and will promote it to everyone I know. We do vote with our wallets and we must support the companies who have a moral conscience. Thank you!!!

I loved your brand, but now I love it all the more. This season has emphasized the reality that as consumers, we do vote with our wallets.

Thank you for making this stand.
