How is Milky Way different from Nova in terms of brightening?

Milky Way helps to slough off dead skin cells to create a brightening effect and smooth textured skin. Nova helps to brighten skin and dark spots at a cellular level with THD Vitamin C.
Can I use this serum with retinols or retinol alternatives?

We recommend alternating nights with retinol/retinoid products as retinol is generally known to be a skin-sensitizing product.

Retinol alternatives like Moon Fruit Serum are more gentle on the skin so they can be used together but we recommend patch testing first since everyone’s skin tolerance is different.

Our favorite way to use is to alternate nights with Milky Way + Moon Fruit Serum. 
Can I use this with the Aquarius line since it has BHA?

Generally, it’s not recommended to use AHA-based serums with BHA at high percentages as it can cause skin sensitivity.

However, Aquarius Cleanser + Aquarius cream both contain BHA that is naturally derived from Willow Bark. It is much gentler on the skin and may be tolerated. We recommend patch testing a small area first. If no reaction, you can pair together
What is the difference between Milky Way Serum and Prism?

Prism Serum is our original exfoliating serum, made-up of naturally-derived AHAs (from Sugar Cane, Bilberry, and Sugar Maple) + naturally-derived BHA from Willow Bark. While we love Prism Serum for pure exfoliation, we found that many people with sensitive skin have a hard time using this product.

We created a formula that had the same powerful exfoliation properties but also helped support the skin’s moisture barrier–making it safe to use for all skin types.

Milky Way is powered by 10% AHAs + 3% PHAs in addition to soothing oat extract, hydrating hyaluronic acid + tremella mushroom, and barrier-repairing ceramides. Think of this as our upgraded version of Prism Serum with added multitasking benefits!
Is Milky Way's packaging recyclable?

Yes the glass bottle and cap can be recycled after rinsing. Our cardboard is made from FSC certified paper and recyclable.

    Fantastic for Reducing Pores

    Wow. I rediscovered this product after taking a break to try other serums in the Herbivore line. The difference it makes in my skin is AMAZING. I suffer from large pores on my cheeks next to my nose and this has reduced them SOOO much. Like it’s literally a miracle. It also does not irritate my sensitive skin in the process. PLEASE do not discontinue this product. I’ve never tried anything like it.

    One of my two holy grail serums! Excellent exfoliation, soft and glowing skin. Sometimes I experience tingling but always short lived. Always helps when I have a breakout.

    Holy Grail

    This is my holy grail. It is the gentlest way to exfoliate the skin. In the morning I wake up with soft, glass skin. I apply lapis oil after I let this serum soak into the skin. Please never stop selling this product!

    It truly smoothened my skin!

    I have super reactive skin. The first few times when the serum was applied, my skin felt tingled a lot with mild redness but no rash. After that, the tingling is much lessened. No redness any more.
