Prism Exfoliating Glow Potion

Introducing PRISM EXFOLIATING GLOW POTION. Part essence, part serum, this nearly magical and truly natural water-based potion exfoliates away the top layer of dead skin cells and de-clogs pores to reveal fresh, smooth and glowing skin.

PRISM EXFOLIATING GLOW POTION has two important benefits needed for glowing, youthful skin.

The first is the multi-healing powers of all-natural fruit acids, which target so many skin conditions and help keep skin healthy and happy. Lactic acid, usually derived from milk but our vegan alternative is from Bilberryhelps reduce breakouts, glycolic acid from Sugar Cane helps exfoliate the top layer of dead skin and malic acid from Apple helps to brighten  and smooth out texture. There’s also citric acid from Orange Peel which helps to treat dark spots and a super potent dose Vitamin C from Kaduku Plum which helps to even skin tone for a brighter, clearer complexion.

All of these gentle fruit acids in Prism not only help to clear up complexion but they help shed away a thin, dry barrier of dead skin that both clogs pores and also prevents moisture and nutrients from penetrating into the skin. If we don’t have this kind of gentle exfoliation as part of our skin-care routine on a regular or semi-regular (meaning if your skin is sensitive, using it only 1-2x per week rather than daily), whatever additional products we use just sit on top of the skin’s surface, making it feel like none of our products we invest in are working for us.

Secondly, as a water-based potion, naturally hydrating and soothing ingredients such as rose water, aloe water and vegan sodium hyaluronate help to balance out the fruit acids in the formula. Unlike some exfoliating serums and essences/toners that can be drying and irritating, Prism helps to leave skin more hydrated and nourished rather than stripping it of moisture or causing irritation. With its concentrated ratio of moisturizing ingredients, it gives a major moisture boost, the first step to glowing skin. Healthy, hydrated skin is the key to a radiant complexion.

Prism can either be used alone or mixed with one of our facial oils. Together with a facial oil, this blended potion can help soothe + clarify easily irritated or blemish-prone skin (Lapis Oil or Emerald Oil), increase hydration (Phoenix Oil), increase glow (Orchid Oil). After cleansing and toning the skin, apply Prism to skin and massage gently to help the potion penetrate into deeper layers of the skin. For extra hydrating benefits, apply a thin layer of Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Creme. After using Prism, make sure to apply sunscreen for day time use as Prism Potion can make skin more sensitive to the UV light due to the fruit acids used for exfoliation.

*Note: for those with sensitive skin, as with any exfoliating product start slow to see how your skin works with the all-natural fruit acids. While this is a very gentle exfoliating potion, it's still an exfoliant and is best to be used on a day when you are not using other exfoliating products such (i.e. do not use the same day as you would use Brighten Pineapple + Gemstone Mask or Blue Tansy Resurfacing Clarity Mask)

Is this the same formulation as the 12% prism?
I have mini bottles of both, and the 12% seems to be stronger, but I’m wondering if it’s psychosomatic.
If so, should I use one and build up to the other? In desperate because you seem to have discontinued bakuchiol which was my go to, no side effects potion.
Thank you for your time!

Loving this product! Very hydrating. I’ve been using it for about a week and I’ve noticed little whiteheads. Is this a purging period? I’m curious if this is normal. But otherwise, love the product!

Good afternoon,

I am writing to introduce Hive and ask for support towards our Make@Hive creative programme, supporting people recovering from physical and mental health issues in the Bradford District. Hive was established in 1982 and registered as a charity (1100741) and company limited by guarantee (4720047) in 2003.

Hive is a community arts charity based in Shipley. We work with vulnerable groups including people with physical and mental health issues, the long term unemployed, young people at risk and isolated older people. We offer a variety of creative opportunities to develop potential including creative classes, supported and independent access to our creative facilities, volunteering and work experience opportunities. Our model of working is to provide user-led creative facilities and support that help people to focus on themselves and their own personal development and wellbeing. We work with approximately 2000 people per year at our venue and across the district. Our workshops for adults, ranging from sewing and pottery making to basic DIY and woodwork, are vital to hundreds of people not only in learning a new skill, but also developing confidence, self-esteem, reducing social isolation, trying out new ideas and learning to interact with others.

We have recently lost the support of a funder that enabled us to offer free places on these courses to those very much in need, including older isolated people, people recovering from mental health distress, people with disabilities, carers and people unable to work.

We would like to expand the service to provide an additional session per week for ‘Chat & Craft’ and ‘Woodworks’ – two of our most popular groups. These two sessions have the broadest appeal and the ‘Woodworks’ group particularly appeals to men who are less likely to access support from statutory mental health services or even talk about their mental health issues.

“I went to a mental health day centre for a lot of years and I wanted to move out of the mental health system. I didn’t want to be in such a supported environment but I didn’t quite feel able to move into something like ordinary night school or something like that so I thought this is sort of in between those two things.”

“It’s helped me to come out of mental health services because if it hadn’t been for this, I can imagine I’d still be at the day centre.”

We are asking for any support you can give for this valued service that has a significant and lasting impact on both physical and mental health of people in Bradford. These courses provide real development opportunities for people to progress to further education, volunteering and employment. You can donate any amount from £10 and make a difference to the funding we can offer for free course places for those on means tested benefits, or you can sponsor a place by using the donate button on our website www.hivebradford.org.uk (or by sending a cheque to us). Alternatively, if you have anything we could use, auction or raffle, that would be fantastic.

Thank you.
