MEDITATION for SELF-LOVE

 

When it comes to love, the most important kind is self-love. When we truly love ourselves, we feel more confident, secure, joyful, and open to connecting with others. Sometimes it can feel challenging to love ourselves no matter what, which is why meditation helps to build self-love intentionally. Every time we sit down to quiet our minds and thoughts that may make us feel not so great about ourselves, we begin to increase positive feelings which in turn can totally change our experience of life. Here is a beautiful self-love meditation that is easy to do and will dramatically change how you feel about yourself so that you can begin to radiate self-love in a way you never have before!

 

The Self Love Meditation Practice 

For this, begin in either a comfortable seated or reclined position, ensure that you are warm, comfortable and will remain disturbance free.

Close your eyes and focus on your breathing, breathe steadily in and out, inviting deeper and deeper relaxation and calmness into your body with each breath. Then releasing and tension with every outward breath. Breathing yourself deeper and deeper into a state of peace and calm.

When you feel nicely at ease bring your attention to your heart. Listen gently. Listen to any messages coming through from it. You heart is the key to your life, when you listen to it effectively and act upon what you hear from it your life flows in a smoother and more joyful way.

Listen To Your Heart

For each message you receive, thank your heart for bringing whatever it was to your attention. Be kind to your heart, let it know that you are sorry and that you will pay better attention to it from this moment onwards. Gratitude and forgiveness are important things through all of this process.

Expand out from your heart, allow thoughts to come through from your life, noticing how your life would have been different if you had had greater appreciation of yourself through various events in the past. Notice how you would feel differently about your life, and how people would feel differently about you too, notice the increasing positivity and appreciation from all. Notice how you can easily adapt so that your life can be positive in that way now.

Adapt Positively

Look within your self, notice with each moment how there are different things about you which are special, focus on them one by one. With each thing about you which you notice as being good give gratitude, thank yourself for being you and being wonderful. Take a moment to really appreciate each attribute, how it helps you to be good and special, feel your self-confidence rise as you do so and notice more things that are great about yourself.

Keep on flowing through the various aspects which are you, appreciating them and thanking your self for being so special in each of these ways.

Thank Your Self

With each additional thing which you are able to see as being good about your self feel your sense of love and appreciation for yourself rising ever higher, feel your self-esteem rising up high. Feel yourself becoming ever more lovable and worthy of love as a result of each thing. All of them compounding together, adding on top of each other, reinforcing each other and making you discover how wonderful you truly are. How wonderful you always have been, it just took you time to notice properly.

Just pause. Feel all of this washing over you and bathing you in amazingly positive feelings about your self. Enjoy the sensations, thank yourself for bringing them to your attention, and for enabling you to connect with them in such a way that you are able to enjoy life more fully with each breath that you take.

 

Breathe

When you are ready flow through your heart giving thanks to it and your mind for everything good that has come to your conscious attention, and for all the things that are still to come to your attention in the future. Give gratitude to yourself for being you and being wonderful, and savour the heightened feelings of self love, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Then gently open your eyes, breathe and bring yourself and all that relaxation and good feeling back into the present moment and ready to carry on through the rest of your day, evening or night wherever you are.
